The Marlborough Sounds has many different walking tracks through out the 1500km’s of shore line, many of the tracks wind along the waters edge and venture through regenerated native bush.
Experience the best of both the Queen Charlotte and the Pelorus Sounds. We also venture down to French Pass and over to d’Urville Island. We fish, we walk and most of all we have a great time. Experience the beauty and tranquillity of the Marlborough Sounds. The Pelorus Sound also has walking tracks that are a lot less populated. They include; The Nydia, Jacobs Bay, Archer and a few smaller tracks as well. The best known track is the Queen Charlotte Track in Queen Charlotte Sound. Multi day cruises are available on this track or let us make you a mix and match itinerary and join both the Queen Charlotte Sound and the Pelorus Sound together and 'Experience the best of both Sounds'.
The advantages of walking and living aboard Affinity is that your accommodation follows you and is there at the end of your days walk with a hot shower and your same bed / cabin. All your meals are cooked for you. If you are going ashore over the lunch period a packed lunch will be sent with you.
You don’t have to worry about your luggage as it is still in your cabin and you have no heavy packs to carry every day. No lost packs.

With a variety of fish to catch from Blue Cod, Snapper, Grouper, Tarakihi, Gurnard, Kingfish and the occasional Shark just to name a few. The Marlborough area is a fisherman’s paradise.
We have plenty of freezer and fridge space for your catch. Trips range from two to as many days as you like.
With the likes of wrecks, crayfish, scallops and many great dive sites you can spend a lot of time diving in the Marlborough Sounds.
Dive the wreck of the Mikhail Lermontov, a Soviet cruise Ship that went down on February 16 1986 when she hit rocks in the passage between Cape Jackson and the Cape Jackson lighthouse. She now lies in 30 metres Of water in Port Gore (which is not a port at all).
Other great dive sites in the sounds are; The Brothers, Chetwode Islands, Jag Rocks, Rangitoto Islands, d’Urville Island, Stephens Island, Sentinal Rock, Port Gore, Titi Island and along the many areas of the coast line.
Affinity has plenty of room for kitting up (getting into your dive gear), easy access into and out of the water with wide platform steps across the stern and 2 ladders that go directly into the water. There is also a 4-metre inflatable tender (dinghy) for use when diving.
Single Day Cruising
